How to Create Custom File Properties Linked To Items in the Document in MS Word XP

  1. From the File menu, click Properties.
  2. Select the Custom tab.
  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the custom property.
  4. Click the Link To Content check box, and then select the bookmark in the drop-down list.

    5. Note: This option is not available if the document does not contain a bookmark to select.

  5. Click OK.
