How to Pause a Scheduled Task in MS Windows XP Professional

1. Go to the Windows Start menu and then choose the All Programs option.
2. Select Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks.

3. Then go to the Advanced menu, click the Pause Task Scheduler button.
