How to Apply Lighting on a Layer in Adobe Photoshop CS2

  1. Go to the Filter menu, click the Render option, and then click Lighting Effects option.
  2. Use the down arrow of the Light type field to show options and select type as desired.
  3. Click the color box to open the Color Picker menu.
    1.  Drag the sliders of Gloss, Material, Exposure, and Ambience to set light properties.
    2.  Select a channel for Texture Channel to use a texture fill.
  4. Then, click the OK button twice.
