How to Play Internet Media in the Media Bar in Internet Explorer 6

  1. Make sure the Media bar is visible. Go to the View menu, select the Explorer Bar option, and then click the Media option.
  2. Then look for the Media Options section, choose the Settings button, and then check Play media in the bar option.
  3. Choose a link pointing to a media file and it will play in the Media bar.
  4. The Media bar contains options to play, stop, play the previous and next tracks, and adjust the sound volume of the media file. Select the Undock player button at the lower-right corner to undock the player so you can move it around the screen.
