@Jigar Soni – The Outlook Connector is rather simple. Once you install it, you will have a menu in Outlook that is called “Outlook Connector”. In there is a submenu “Add a New Account” where you can enter the hotmail account details.
Rediff I do not know, but for Yahoo email, you will need to upgrade your account to a Plus account (whihc is not free) before you can use POP3 and access the email in Outlook.

thanks kyle, yes you are right and that i have read that in already posted comments …. so i have tried my hot mail account at site “login.live.com)” given by you in one of your blog and fins that at that site i am able to log in with my hotmail….. so will this will also not work… also i have downloaded outlook connector so can you update your instructions for how to use window connector or it is alreadu\y available somewhere… also i want to know like hotmail can ialso configure rediff or yahoo account to my outlook….

@Jigar Soni – Microsoft discontinued the support for hotmail access in Outlook Express. So now you will need to use Window Live Mail or Microsoft Outlook with the Outlook Connector if you want to use your hotmail account in a local email client

kyle i have followed your modified instructions to configure windows live – hotmail in outlook … everuthing has been done and now when i am rying to send mail then it remain undelivered in outbox or what i can say whether hotmail folder is not loaded in my outllok… now when i am doing send recieve then it is asking to typr username 7 password for the server smtp.live.com again and again….. can you please help me for this

@Akhilesh Singh – Probably your folders.dbx file has errors. Try closing the folder list, then select Work Offline in the File menu, and then File -> Folder -> Compact All Folders.

Dear Kyle,

Just tell me one thing more, I am facing one problem in outlook express, no mail show in my outlook express like as ( inbox. sent items, outbox nothing shows only folder is showing ) but in c:\document & setting\user name\Local Setting\application Data\identities\microsoft\……..\outlook Express shows every folder of its own size.
i Have done everything to recover my mail but its not done, plz suggest me what should i do?

@Peter – Windows Mail, as part of Vista an Windows 7 (through the Lice Essentials extensions), is kind of the successor of Outlook Express, and it does store your email offline. So even without a live connection, you can access earlier emails.
Windows Mail uses a Store Folder, like Outlook used to.

I am able to receive the mail, just no longer send. Does Windows Live allow me to download and view e-mails offline, or does it require an active connection?
