    @satya – I saw in your email reply that your board is an Intel 945gc, so I think it is best if you start at the Intel support site for BIOS updates. Just read through the instructions, and then click through to the board model in the end of the webpage.

    One thing more..make sure that the battery of your laptop is fully charge as in case of accidental electricity failure your update may not get complete..it will make you laptop useless
