Google To Buy Valve?

Reports are coming out late this morning that the Inquirer has “well placed sources” stating Google will be buying Valve “any second now.” Techcrunch just posted this breaking news on their homepage and the blogs have been going crazy on this unexpected news.

According to The Inquirer, “Google is going to be buying Valve any second now. If you have to stop and think about why, you probably are not aware of Steam, Valve’s amazing content distribution platform.” Many analysts say that Valve’s Steam is the best content distribution platform out there and if Google acquires Valve, competitors could be very anxious.

“Google Portal may be a nice idea, but that is irrelevant. Google Content Distribution (Beta) however should make just about every other competitor lose several years of sleep, most of their remaining hair, and large gobs of stock price,” the Inquirer concludes.

Clearly, Google is on a mission for world domination [insert sarcasm here] and time will tell if this rumor is valid. Stay tuned for more info at PC Authorities.
